Spring Skirts

Lately, it seems like spring has completely bypassed us, the heat beckoning us to rustle up those playful skirts from the closet. (Unless you're like Ann who will wear skirts throughout the winter.) But with Alberta's notorious history for drastic weather changes, it's good to have layers on hand just to be prepared. Today's post is just a few of many options for styling skirts of different lengths with Stephanie in a mini, Sarah in one that is knee-length, and Ann sporting a midi.

Worn as an everyday essential or to bring a feminine flair, this style of skirt is ultimately versatile for everyone. Pair this skirt with tights on cooler days, or rock a pair of sneakers and a t-shirt for a casual street wear look. Featuring a fitted waistband and flared hem, this mini style brings length to the legs - perfect for those of us who are vertically challenged!

It's easy to achieve a demure, vintage vibe with a full midi skirt and a cardigan over top of a blouse. You can actually make this skirt from BurdaStyle, and it's one of the easier patterns too! This skirt is one that will be worn often in the warmer months. With its bold blue floral print and the asymmetrical hem, it's sure to garner some compliments. The length is good for those lazy days where you don't want to wear pants but cannot be bothered to shave your legs.

The decorative scalloped lace hem on this skirt brings delicacy to any outfit. Sometimes lace is categorized as a sensual and fancier piece as it is frequently found on red carpet gowns and intimates. However, this skirt can be casually transformed with a t-shirt tucked in, ankle booties, and a tweed bomber jacket. Throw on a pair of cool aviators, and you're all set for a mission.
